Inez Long Re-Elected to Serve on National Board of CDFIs

Inez Long, President/CEO, BBIF Florida (BBIF), has been re-elected to serve on the Opportunity Finance Network (OFN) Board of Directors for a second three-year term.  Inez’s re-election came on October 26, 2016 during the OFN Annual Conference in Atlanta, GA. The Opportunity Finance Network (OFN) is a national membership network of Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) that invest in opportunities that benefit low-income, low-wealth, and other disadvantaged communities across America. OFN’s mission is to lead CDFIs and their partners to ensure that low-income, low-wealth, and other disadvantaged people and communities have access to affordable, responsible financial products and services. OFN Members are performance-oriented, responsible investors that finance community businesses, sparking job growth in the areas that need it most, and delivering both sound financial returns and real changes for people and communities.

Long notes, “It is an honor to be re-elected to serve for a second term on the OFN Board of Directors.  I am deeply committed to excellence in the CDFI industry, knowing that there is much work to be done to ensure financial equity to people living in underserved communities throughout America.” Long adds, “As the CDFI industry continues to move forward to improve the economic and social challenges in our respective regions, the power of our collaboration will create positive change in the communities that we serve.“

Mrs. Long has served as President/CEO of BBIF Florida (BBIF) since 199. Mrs. Long’s professional background encompasses a wide range of lending initiatives and her unique ability to serve as an expert in the area of providing creative capital solutions and financial technical assistance services to black and minority underserved businesses.
